
French champions Toulouse have strengthened their already formidable squad with the signing of an influential Italian centre on a long-term deal.
Tommaso Menoncello swaps the Vodacom URC for the Top 14, putting pen to paper on a deal running until 2029.
Menoncello has emerged as one of the most exciting midfield players in world rugby over the past two seasons and was named Player of the Tournament in the 2024 Six Nations.

He has continued that form at international level, once again starring for Italy during this year’s championship campaign.
One of the standout moments came in Italy’s historic victory over England, with Menoncello scoring a crucial try as the Azzurri claimed a famous win.
Several French clubs were reportedly interested in securing his services, but Toulouse ultimately won the race for one of Europe’s most sought-after backs.
Menoncello will leave Benetton at the end of the current campaign after six seasons with the Italian club.
The powerful centre has already earned 39 Test caps for Italy and is widely regarded as one of the premier No 12s in the global game.

At international level, he has formed an impressive midfield partnership with Juan Ignacio Brex, the Argentine-born Italy centre who currently plays for Toulon.
His arrival further strengthens Toulouse’s enviable depth in midfield.
The French giants already boast an impressive group of centres that includes Pierre-Louis Barassi, Argentina international Santiago Chocobares and highly-rated young French talent Kalvin Gourgues.
