Former Wallabies captain Liam Wright has switched from Super Rugby to the Vodacom URC in a bid to reignite his stagnating career.
The 28-year-old has signed with Welsh side Ospreys looking for more regular game time after a frustrating period on the sidelines with injury.
Wright has struggled for game time over the past year because of shoulder problems, limiting both his involvement with the Reds and his opportunities at Test level.

The South Africa-born forward captained the Reds for six seasons and was handed the Wallabies captaincy by Joe Schmidt for the coach’s first Test in charge against Wales in 2024.
However, injuries curtailed his progress and he has managed only six Test appearances for Australia.
Wright said the move to Wales presents an opportunity to challenge himself in a new environment.
“I’ve actually got a bit of Welsh heritage, my grandfather was born in Pembroke, so I know it’s a club with a rich history and passionate supporters,” he said.
“This is a great opportunity for me to test myself in new waters.”
