WEATHER: Windy conditions with widespread showers expected

Cloudy, windy and cool conditions will affect most provinces.

Showers are expected in many areas, with warmer conditions in the north-east.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog will cover the interior of KwaZulu-Natal. The rest of the province will stay cloudy and cool, while the north-east turns partly cloudy and warm.

Widespread showers and thundershowers will affect most areas, with only scattered activity in the north.

Along the coast, moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly winds will shift to southerly to south-westerly south of Durban from late morning, spreading to Richards Bay in the evening.

A low UVB sunburn index is expected.

DURBAN

The day will start partly cloudy before clouds build up, bringing scattered showers and thundershowers.

Light to moderate westerly to south-westerly winds will shift to easterly to south-easterly in the afternoon.

Temperatures will range between 15 and 24°C, with a low UVB sunburn index expected.

FREE STATE

Clouds will spread across the Free State as strong winds drive cold to very cold conditions, bringing scattered showers and thundershowers, with only isolated activity in the southwest.

BLOEMFONTEIN

Bloemfontein will see cloudy and windy conditions, with scattered showers and thundershowers expected.

Temperatures will range between 7°C and 14°C.

NORTH WEST

Clouds will cover the North West Province as strong winds bring cold to cool conditions, with isolated showers and thundershowers expected.

MAHIKENG

Mahikeng will see partly cloudy and windy conditions, with isolated showers and thundershowers expected.

Temperatures will range between 10°C and 18°C.
